CHICAGO, IL – The Stellar Awards Nominating committee has considered Donald “Buster Woods” Presents God Gets the Glory (G3) for three Stellar Award nominations. This uplifting and dynamic youth choir from the city of Chicago is up for nominations in the following categories: New Artist of the Year, Contemporary Choir of the Year and Recorded Music Packaging of the Year.
The Stellar Awards is the premier Gospel event that honors African-American Gospel artists, television and film stars. G3 is a powerful high energy youth aggregation whose purpose is to give God all the glory while bringing unsaved youth to Christ. Donald “Buster” Woods founded the group in 2007 during a drought of artistic gospel expression on the Westside of Chicago. He is elated and honored that in just two short years, God has allowed the ministry to be considered for such a prestigious award nomination.

About G3 Chicago: G3” (God Gets the Glory) was founded by Donald “Buster” Woods in January, 2007. Inspired by a vision from God, Buster noticed the absence of youth and young adults active in the church and music ministry on Chicago’s West side. Realizing this absence raised concern and caused Buster to call together a core group of people to assist in making his vision become reality. It was Buster’s #1 goal to focus on youth ranging in ages from 14 - 22 (high school freshman to college seniors), providing them with an outlet to express their love to God and for music while gaining exposure outside of the normal church experience.
